This heartwarming scene happened at an elephant orphanage of the Wildlife Trust after the name of David Sheldrick, which was founded more than 40 years ago.

Here numerous elephants were saved and rehabilitated.

But a particular case of a rescue of a 1-year-old little baby elephant won everyone’s heart at the orphanage.

A few years ago, a rescue team from the Tsavo East National Park sanctuary spotted, very occasionally, a baby elephant wandering nearby the river alone.

The rescue staff rushed to investigate, as it was strange to see the baby animal alone.

Soon, it found out that the exhausted elephant lost his mother and was crying desperately.

Fortunately, he encountered kind people, who saved him, taking him to the elephant orphanage.

Here he was called Mukkoka and received all the necessary medication and care. He was fed with milk from a bottle and soon get recovered.

The  staff knew how difficult it was for this orphan baby to live without his mother’s love and affection, so they decided to organize a meeting of the elephant herd and Mukkoka.

But they couldn’t even imagine how touching scene they would soon witness.

The greeting of the new family was so warm, that this image melted everyone’s heart.

The kind elephants gathered around Mukkoka and started to touch him with their trunks very gently, trying to comfort him.

It seemed they understand his pain and wanted to say, that he is not alone.
