One-Ingredient Homemade Banana “Ice Cream”
We often say that a recipe is “easy” or “simple,” but this Recipe Sunday recipe really is the easiest dessert we have even made…and it might also be one of the most deicious. This is a recipe to make homemade banana ice cream. Well, ice cream without the “cream” part. All you need is some frozen bananas and a blender. That’s it. Seriously. It is incredibly delicious, especially with some peanut butter and chocolate chips added in:)
2-3 Bananas. (We found that 2-3 bananas is enough for 2 people.)
The How To:
- Peel and cut your bananas in half or quarter inch sizes
- Freeze the cut bananas on a plate or in a tupper wear dish for at least two hours.
- Put the frozen bananas into a blender or food processor.
- Blend the heck out the bananas until they become smooth. ***Do not add any liquid.*** Just keep blending until the bananas resemble soft serve ice cream. Enjoy!
Add-ins: you can add anything you like to the ice cream once the bananas are blended. We have added chocolate chips and peanut butter. But you can experiment and add whatever you want.
