Living Deliberately Project – Week 39
we barely saw each other. It was a busy busy week. It is amazing how you can live in the same house as someone and feel like you never see them. Granted, its not as bad as some people who’s everyday existence is like that, but it can be rough.
Expenditures this week were $15, which means that we are left with $12 at the end of the month. My brother-in-law was joking with me when I said that we didn’t carry money over from month-to-month: “Why not?” He said, “It’s your money, just carry it over!” Ok Chuck, perhaps next time we undertake a year long project I will write that into the by-laws.
Some money was spent on a few essential items: a pair of my work pants finally bit the dust—holes in the pockets and some rips in the crotch, yikes; my work shoes have turned into a big nasty mess, necessitating a new pair. I have usually opted for Saucony’s Vegan Low Pro Jazz’s for the last few years, but I am trying a pair of Croc sneakers. We will see how they do…
September is just about over; October is basically upon us. Despite that the weather has been unseasonably warm—not crazy hot, just warmer over the day. I hope that brings the promise of a mild winter, but I fear for the amount of snow we will be getting. Last winter was mild, so snow seems likely—not that we mind it, necessarily, it is just the driving to and from work that becomes a bit touch-and-go. That said, a Vermont winter is a beautiful thing, so we will take it as it comes.
