A man named Bob celebrated the New Year alone. His home was shared with him only by the golden retriever Kelsey – a very intelligent and loyal dog.

Bob was watching football when the firewood ran out. He decided to bring an extra bundle from the yard and jumped out into the street, wearing a thin shirt only and slippers.

The man did not see that it was severely frozen at night. And the ground was covered with a crust of ice.

Bob slipped, fell and injured his cervical vertebrae. The spinal cord suffered, and the man felt paralyzed – he could not stand up or even move his limbs.

At his screams, Kelsey ran out of the house.

The dog began to warm the owner with her body, constantly licking his face and hands so that he would not freeze his skin.

At the same time, the dog helped to call for help, howling and barking with all his might.

However, Bob’s house was on the outskirts, so no one heard them in the next 20 hours.

By morning Bob was hoarse and lost consciousness, but the dog continued to bark and warm him with her fur and warmth.

Almost a day later, they were eventually heard by a neighbor who called an ambulance for the victim.

The patient was taken to the hospital, had an operation, and – lo and behold! – the very next day, Bob’s ability to move his arms and legs began to return.

The doctors were very surprised that after 20 hours spent in the snow, in the cold and unconscious, the man did not get frostbite.

They unanimously claim that the credit goes to a good girl Kelsey!
