Guardian of the Galaxy star Zoe Saldana has recently shared that she is open to working in James Gunn’s DC universe.
She also revealed that she wants to keep making Superhero films.
During a recent conversation with ComicBook.com about her Paramount+ series, Special Ops: Lioness, Saldaña was asked if she’d consider making a move to DC, especially with James Gunn, the director of Guardians of the Galaxy (GOTG), calling the shots there.
Saldana said, “Yes, I do, I do. I love the superhero universe of any sort.”
She added: “I have sons that are obsessed with comic books right now, and superheroes, so for me to be a part of projects that they will get to watch for the next 10, 15 years of their whole lives, it’s a dream for me.”
She continued, “If it never gets to happen, or if it happens with other filmmakers, and not James Gunn, or if it happens again with James Gunn, I would be so grateful.”
Zoe Saldana has made it clear in the past that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was her final time playing Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
With James Gunn at the helm of the DCU, it does make sense that Zoe Saldana would not mind jumping ship to the DC Universe.

Gunn has already announced a fresh slate of films and TV shows for the new DC universe that will be kickstarted by Superman: Legacy in 2025.
It would be no surprise if we get to see Zoe Saldana suit up as a hero or villain in the DCU down the road.
Zoe Saldana’s spy thriller series Special Ops: Lioness is currently streaming on Paramount+.
