Following months of rumors, it was officially confirmed that The Fantastic Four will star Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mister Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka Invisible Woman), Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka The Thing), and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka Human Torch). With the news now official, the digital artist spdrmnkyxxiii shared a new piece of artwork uniting the cast imagined as their respective characters. While not official artwork, it could be pretty similar to how the MCU versions of the titular foursome will look in The Fantastic Four. The artwork can be viewed below.

The official reveal of the main cast of The Fantastic Four was also done with some special artwork. On Valentine’s Day, Marvel shared a post featuring the various characters from the film suggesting a retro theme for the film. A subtle detail in the artwork also suggested that the new movie will take place in 1963, as The Thing can be seen reading a LIFE magazine first published during that year.

It’s not yet known who will be playing other characters in the movie, as only the main cast members have been officially announced. Also unknown is who exactly will be featured as the movie’s villain, though there has been a campaign for Cillian Murphy to play Doctor Doom. According to rumors, Doctor Doom will only make a brief appearance and is not expected to be the main villain in the movie. It’s rumored that Javier Bardem is in talks to play Galactus, but this has yet to be officially confirmed. Antonio Banderas was previously rumored to be up for the role.

This will be the fourth live-action film to be made based on Fantastic Four, though the original attempt was never officially released. Roger Corman made a version in the early 1990s, but it was shelved after only releasing a trailer. In 2005, a new Fantastic Four movie was released by director Tim Story. That film was given its own sequel, 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which also had Story back in the director’s chair. Director Josh Trank would later direct another reboot in 2015. The film’s underperformance prevented a sequel from happening.
