A photo from behind the scenes of the highly-anticipated film Venom 3 has set the internet ablaze with curiosity. There has been talk of the Tom Hardy-featurette having links to the Marvel Cinematic Universe at large, since the famous Spider-Man: No Way Home end credits scene.

This new photo has sent eagle-eyed fans spiraling with how the third installment of Venom could connect Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock to the MCU Multiverse.

A behind-the-scenes picture from the set of Venom 3 has made its way to the internet (via @SpiderMan_Newz on X). While fans are overjoyed to get a glimpse, many have started theorizing about the film’s plot. Tom Hardy’s outfit in the picture has triggered quite a reaction among netizens.

A future iteration of Spider-Man and Venom was teased in the end credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home. In which, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock a.k.a Venom is being tutored by the Avengers on Earth-616 before he teleports back to the Sony Spider-Man Universe. Although that isn’t without leaving behind a piece of the Venom symbiote.

Fans have noticed that Tom Hardy‘s costume for the post-credits scene is the same as the one he’s wearing in the recently released behind-the-scenes picture. Some of them now believe that Venom would have some connection with the MCU through the multiverse.

Ever since the gates to the multiverse have been opened, the MCU has become a world of crazy possibilities, even more than it was. Venom’s connection to the MCU is an extension of that. And it will be interesting to see how things unravel.

Venom has managed to have a trilogy of his own without his #1 enemy Spider-Man. He lives in a dark corner of the world, far away from the shiny suited-up web-slinger. Tom Hardy is reprising his role as Eddie Brock, who’s been infected by the extra-terrestrial symbiote.

Stephen Graham could return as Detective Patrick Mulligan, and Michelle Williams is also expected to return, too: as there’s more of her to see as She-Venom. Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor have also joined the cast but their roles are unknown.

All that is known of the plot of the film is mostly fan-made theories. Venom existed in a different dimension, however momentarily. This ought to trigger some events in the film. It would be odd if the teleportation viewers saw in No Way Home wasn’t brought up or even acknowledged in the film.
